Hepler, 67, 912 North Broadway, Berlin, died June 4, 1979, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Feb. 15, 1912, in Hawthorne, he was a son of Ralph and Maggie (Shick) Hepler. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his wife, the former Mabel Platt, and these children: Mrs. Fred (Dorothy) Anklam, Muscatine, Iowa; John P., Springs; and Daniel H., Mt. Holly Springs; and nine grandchildren; also, one brother, Charles Helper, Fairhaven, Mass. He was a retired carpenter and was a member of the First Brethren Church, Berlin, and served as deacon and trustee of the church. He was also a member of Carpenter and Joiners Union. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating. Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
