She was born March 5, 1934 in Meyersdale, daughter of the late Jim and Gladys Hillegas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Herak in 1970 and brother, William Clyde Hillegas. She is survived by her children: Michael E. Herak, Warner Robins, GA; Suzanne A. Mahalic, Fairview Park, OH; and Daniel L. Herak, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren: Michael, Hilary, Craig, Rebecca, Jessica and Joshua; sisters: Zelma Bittner, Berlin and Joanne Trocano, Strengsville, OH and many other family and friends. When moving to Cleveland, OH, she worked in the legal profession before her retirement. She will be remembered by family and friends as a devoted, loving person whose generosity and quick wit will be greatly missed by everyone. A Memorial Service in her honor will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 4 p.m. at Prince of Peace Church, Westlake, OH, with a reception to follow.
