Ernest Herb, 63, formerly of Somerset, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Died March 15, 1976 in Broward General Medical Center, Fort Lauderdale. Born in Valley View, on July 11, 1912, the son of Clayton and Mabel (Lebo) Herb, now of Chambersburg. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine (Sipe) Herb, who died April 25, 1973. Survived by sons, Ernest S. Herb, of Coral Springs, Fla. and William S. Herb, of Camp Hill; a daughter Sharyn S. Herb, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Gene (Eleanor) Clarke, of Chambersburg, and Mrs. Donald (Janet) Axman, of Vernon, Conn.; and three grandchildren. Member of the B.P.O.E., Lodge No. 1517, Fort Lauderdale, and was a former State Policeman in Pennsylvania. Also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset. A memorial service will be held in Trinity Lutheran Church, 918 Tayman Ave., Somerset, Sunday at 3 p.m. The Sacrament of the Altar will be celebrated with the Rev. H. James Meyers as celebrant.
