  Wesley I. Herman, 71, Confluence RD 1, died Jan. 1 in Somerset Community
  Hospital.  Born Feb. 20, 1916 at Mill Run, Pa., son of the late Frederick
  and Dora (Whetsel) Herman.  Survived by wife, Ethel Steyer Herman, a
  step-daughter, Mrs. Jean Rugg of Butler, Pa., two grandchildren, Barry and
  Lori Rugg, two great-grandchildren, brother, George Herman of Normalville,
  Pa. and three sisters, Mrs. Harrietta Steyer of Mill Run, Pa., Mrs. Nellie
  May and Delora Pritts, both of Normalville.  Preceded in death by three
  brothers, Russell T., Ira F. and Carl Herman.  Farmer and a retired
  employee of Anchor-Hocking Corp. in Connellsville.  Member of the
  Critchfield Aliance Church.  Friends will be received Monday (today) from
  2-9 p.m. at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., Route 711 at Melcroft
  where service will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Timothy
  McGarvey officiating.  Interment, Normalville Cemetery.
