ALBERT E. HERRING

  Albert E. Herring, 73, died Friday afternoon at his home in Summit Township.  
He had been a resident of the Meyersdale community for the past 50 years.  He 
was a son of Elijah and Nancy (Tressler) Herring and was born on December 9, 
1868.  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary (Siehl) Herring and these children: 
Miss Mae Herring and Miss Maud Herring, both at home; Mrs. Ruth Irwin, 
Meyersdale R.D.; Walter J. Herring, Primos, Pa.; Ralph E. Herring, Meyersdale; 
Roy G. Herring, at home, and N. Lee Herring, Meyersdale. 
Also surviving are nine grandchildren and a brother and two sisters; John 
Herring, Toledo, O.; Mrs. George Hittle, Meyersdale, and Mrs. Henry Shultz, 
Somerset.
  Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the 
Herring home by Rev. John B. Warman, pastor of the local Methodist church.  
Interment was in Union Cemetery under the direction of W. C. Price & Son, local 
morticians.
