Herring, 77, Salisbury, died March 21 at his home. Born March 16, 1890, in Hazelton, W. Va., he was a son of Albert F. and Period (Wright) Herring. Surviving are his wife, the former Olive M. Ringler of Salisbury; three sons: Donald G., Cumberland, Clarence W., Meyersdale; Robert F. Salisbury and a daughter, Miss Evelyn L., Salisbury; also seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was a brother of Asa, John and Floyd Herring, all of Republic; Victor of Greensburg, Webster, Mrs. Dora Livengood and Mrs. Olive Friend, all of Friendsville; and Mrs. Mary Wolf, Uniontown. A member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury, he was a veteran of World War I and belonged to the Salisbury American Legion Post. Funeral service will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, with Rev. Richard H. Harder officiating. Interment will be made in Salisbury IOOF cemetery.
