Born Aug. 15, 1921, in Salisbury, a son of the late Chester and Olive (Ringler) Herring. Also pre-ceded in death by a brother, Donald Herring. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia C. (Herwig) Herring, and a daughter, Dottie Herring Grew and her husband, Paul, Meyersdale. A brother of Robert "Steve" Herring, Salisbury and Evelyn Herring, Salisbury. A retired state inspector for the Milk Marketing Board, Commonwealth of Pa. A veteran of the U.S. Army World War II. A member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, where he served as an usher and was a member of the Properties Commission. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren. The Rev. He was born August 15, 1921 in Salisbury, a son of the late Chester and Olive (Ringler) Herring. Also preceded in death by a brother Donald Herring.
