    Dale C. Hersch, 63, of Piersal Road, Friedens, died Sept. 4, 1998, at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born April 15, 1935, in Sand Patch, son of the late
  Herman and Marybelle (Cameron) Hersch.  Preceded in death by wife, Nancy;
  and brothers Clifford, William Dean and Charles Hersch.  Survived by
  daughter, Mrs. Ross (Ruth) Shaffer of Friedens; and grandchildren Drew,
  Westley and Hannah Shaffer.  A brother of Herman Hersch of Glencoe;
  Jenevieve Miller of Meyersdale; Alice Frease of Meyersdale; Mrs. William
  (Arlene) Dawson of White Plains, Md.; Dorothy Hersch of Meadow View Nursing
  Home; Mrs. Fred (Janet) Dickmeyer of East Berlin; Douglas Hersch, Renton,
  Washington; Hazel Zolly, Wheaton, Md.; and Lester Hersch of Meyersdale. 
  Employed by PBS Coals.  Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday,
  and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where
  funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday.  Rev. David Fetter
  officiating.  Interment, Husband Cemetery.
