Born Oct. 27, 1925, in Larimer Township, a son of Mary Belle (Cameron) Hersch, Meyersdale, and the late Herman Hersch. Also preceded in death by brothers, Clifford and Charles. Survived by his wife, the former Gertrude Stevanus, and these children: Mary Margaret and William J., both of Meyersdale RD 4; Deanne King, Salisbury, and Trudy Ann, Frostburg, Md. Also a grandson, Alex Michael King. Brother of Herman K., Glencoe; Genevieve Miller, Meyersdale; Alice Freas and Lester A., both of Meyersdale RD 4; Dale, Friedens; Doug, Mesa, Az.; Arlene Dawson, White Plains, Md.; Janet Dickmeyer, East Berlin; Dorothy, Berlin, and Hazel Zolly, Wheaton, Md. World War II Army veteran. Retired from B&O Railroad after 36 years of service. A member of St. John's United Methodist Church. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, with Pastor James Fish officiating.
