Her death was attributed to exposure by Mrs. Emily Fluck, Somerset County Coroner, who conducted an investigation and announced that no inquest would be necessary. Mrs. Hersh had not been in the best of health for several months, but was able to be about. She left her home Sunday evening at 6 o'clock, but did not tell her husband where she was going. When she did not return late Sunday night a search was instituted. Parties were organized on Monday but a search of the woods in the vicinity of the Hersh home failed to reveal her whereabouts. It is believed that she became ill and lost during the heavy rainstorm which visited this section on Sunday night and that she died from exposure. Mrs. Hersh is survived by her husband, a brother, Harrison Bloom, of Sand Patch, and a sister, Miss Lizzie Bloom, of Connellsville. Four children preceded her to the grave. The body has been prepared for burial by Undertaker J. N. Johnson & Son, of Berlin. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Mt. Zion Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, May 12, 1932
