Born May 24, 1918, in Cambria County, daughter of James Garfield and Lillie Belle (Parson) Shaffer. Preceded in death by parents; husband, William Henry; sister, Mary Grace; and brother, Robert Earl Shaffer. Survived by these sons: Robert Lee, with whom she resided; Russell Gilbert, married to the former Carol Zuccolotto; William Henry Jr., married to the former Theresa Boyer; and Dennis Ray, and his fiancee, Darlene Gary, all of Somerset; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Sister of: Minnie Huth, Akron, Ohio; Mayme Natta, Windber; Lester Earl Shaffer, Somerset; Ethel Marie Mock and Anna Pearl Findley, both of Vinco; David Shaffer, Johnstown; Raymond Charles Shaffer, Winterhaven, Fla.; Clarence Shaffer, Pawling, N.Y; Audrey Lucille Shaffer, Central City; and Dorothy Swope, Sharon, Pa. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Formerly employed by St. Benedict's School and the Johnstown Food Pantry. Member of Ferndale United Methodist Church and former member of Otterbein U.M. Church, Wilbur. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, with the Rev.
