DANIEL P. HERSH

  Daniel P. Hersh, aged 56, dropped dead Monday morning at his home in 
Meyersdale of a heart attack.  He was a son of William and Rebecca Hersh and was 
born in Summit Township.  His health had been impaired for some time.  Surviving 
are his wife and these children:  William, Daniel, Harrison, James and Sarah, 
all of Meyersdale.  He was a brother of Ezra and Harrison Hersh, of Meyersdale, 
and William Hersh of West Decatur, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Charles House, of 
Keyser, W.Va., and Mrs. Ulysses G. Miller, of Meyersdale.
  Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at the Hersh 
home.  Interment was made in the Union Cemetery, Rev. H. K. Hilner, pastor of 
the Lutheran Church, conducted the funeral services.  The Lutheran choir sang 
several selections.
