Hersh, 52, of Meyersdale RD 1, died Aug. 20, 1975 at home. Born March 4, 1923, in Elk Lick Township, son of Catherine Hotchkiss Hersh and the late Walter Hersh. Also survived by his wife, the former Carolyn Sutton; three sons, William of Hedgesville, W. Va.; Kenneth of Salisbury; and Rodney at home; four daughters, Mrs. Judy Livengood of Oakland, Md.; Mrs. Doris Lewis; and Mrs. Nancy Riggleman both of Fort Ashby, W. Va.; and Mrs. Linda Anaya of Salisbury; a brother Ray of Arlington, Va.; four sisters, Mrs. Elaine Hutzel of Boynton; Mrs. Margaret Swartzwelder of Salisbury; Mrs. Donna Jean McClintock of Kent, Ohio; and Mrs. Alice Jane Christner of Akron, Ohio; and 10 grandchildren. Was a veteran of World War II, member of the Meyersdale American Legion and the Salisbury VFW. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Friday at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul H. Yoder officiating.
