Hershberger, of Elk Lick Township, died June 24th, after a prolonged illness. She was aged 67 years and 1 month, having been born May 24, 1863. She was a daughter of the late David and Mary (Summy) Yoder and was married to Joel E. Hershberger Dec. 31, 1893. Their only child, a daughter, was born on June 23, 1900, and lived only one day. Her mother who lived with Mr. and Mrs. Hershberger during her old age, died a short time ago. She is survived by her husband and the following brothers and sisters: John D. Yoder and Jonas D. Yoder, Springs; Jacob D. Yoder, Mrs. Barbara Bender and Mrs. Annie Engle, Meyersdale R.D. 2; and Mrs. Lizzie Miller, Dover, Delaware. Funeral services were held at the Oak Grove Amish Mennonite Church near Compton's Mill, June 26th, at 2 p.m., Jonas B. Miller of Grantsville, Md., and Samuel T. Yoder, of Belleville, Pa., being the ministers who conducted the obsequies. William Winterberg of Grantsville was the undertaker in charge. Meyersdale Republican, July 3, 1930
