HERSHBERGER Mary Elizabeth Hershberger, 69, Main Street, Grantsville, Maryland, was killed November 3, 1984 by a hit-and-run driver. Born in Meyersdale, she was a daughter of the late N. P. Meyers and Gertrude (Newman) Meyers. Surviving are her husband, John R. Hershberger; a son, John D. Hershberger, Grantsville; two daughters, Mrs. Sue Crossland, Alexandria, Va., and Mrs. Nancy Grew, Newport News, Va.; a brother, William K. Meyers, Meyersdale; a sister, Mrs. Margaret McKee of Baltimore, and a granddaughter, Michelle Grew. She was a homemaker, a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and its Women's Guild, the Casselman Valley Homemaker's Club, the Grantsville Rotary Ann and had served as assistant librarian at the Ruth Enlow Library in Grantsville. Friends were received at the New Funeral Home in Grantsville where services were conducted by the Rev. William Borch. Interment, Grantsville Cemetery. The Republic, November 9, 1984 [H0956]
