All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ SUSAN WISSEMAN HERSHBERGER Grantsville, Maryland Relatives here received word last week of the death of Mrs. Susan Wisseman Hershberger, widow of the late Gideon Hershberger, which occurred at her home at Greenwood, Del., Thursday night, January 9. She was 75 years of age. She had been ill only a few days and her death was attributed to a heart ailment together with complications due to her age. Mrs. Hershberger was a former resident of this section, having been born on Negro Mountain, a few miles west of here. For some time she resided in the New Germany section, where she was well known, but for a number of years has made her home in Delaware. Three sisters and two brothers survive. They are Mrs. Lydia Miller and Mrs. A. M. Ringer, Grantsville, Miss Amanda Wisseman, who resided with her sister at Greenwood, C. C. Wisseman, Fort Hill. Miss Amanda Wisseman expects to move to Grantsville shortly to make her home with Mrs. Miller and other relatives. Mrs. Lydia Miller, C. C. Wisseman, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Jones and family, Misses Leona and Wilma Miller and Martin Miller went to Greenwood to attend the funeral services which were held there Sunday. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
