  HERWIG
   
    Robert Dewey Herwig, 76, Friedens RD 1, died May 25 at his home.  He was
  born on Nov. 20, 1897 in Meyersdale, the son of the late Conrad and Delilah
  Bockes Herwig. Herwing [sic] was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth, in
  1968, three brothers and two sisters.  He is survived by the following
  children: Mrs. Ruth Trimpey, Frederick and Lloyd of Friedens RD 1, Mrs.
  Margaret Younkin, Stoystown RD 1, Robert L., Somerset RD 5, Kenneth G.,
  East Berlin RD 1, Mrs. Betty Atkins, Somerset, Mrs. Shirley Adams, Somerset
  RD 3, Mrs. Janet Irwin, Fort Worth, Texas, 31 grandchildren and 11
  great-grandchildren.  Brother of Mrs. Sadie Gauntz of Garrett, Mrs. Ethel
  Williamson of Pittsburgh, one brother, John of Elyria, Ohio.  He was a
  member of Geiger Church of the Brethren and a retired farmer by occupation.
  Friends are being received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where
  services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gerald
  Deffenbaugh officiating.
