   Betty Lou Hess, 67, Berlin, died Sept. 6, 2006, at Allegheny General Hospital. Born
  April 11, 1939, in Berlin, daughter of the late Elkins and Margaret (May) Deeter.
  Survived by her husband of 48 years, Jack; and these children, Mark, married to the
  former Mary Riley, Zelienople; Mike, married to the former Denise Balthazard, Anoka,
  Minn.; Barbara, married to Kevin Hertzler, Leano, Va.; and Brian, married to the former
  Elizabeth Archer, Calumet, Mich.; 12 grand-children; and two great-grandchildren. Also
  survived by a brother Robert Deeter of Ocala, Fla. A 1957 graduate of Berlin
  Brothersvalley High School. Member of Berlin Brethren Church where she was a member of
  the Missionary Society and a deaconess. Former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church,
  Zelienople, where she served with the Willing Workers. Family will receive friends from 2
  to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. A service will be held at 11
  a.m. Saturday at Berlin Brethren Church. The Rev. Eugene Oburn officiating. Interment
  Berlin IOOF Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to Berlin Brethren
  Church, Berlin, PA 15530 or St. Paul Lutheran Church, Zelienople, PA 16063.
