Hetzer, 67, Stoystown RD 2 (Wilbur), died Aug. 14, 1989 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Oct. 8, 1921 in Boswell. Son of Freeman N. and Evelyn (Colemen) Hetzer. Preceded in death by parents, brother Brinton and sister Florence Robins. Survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Thelma Shaffer and these children: Ronald, married to the former Carol Huzsek of Jennerstown; James, married to the former Sandra Solberg of Vineland, N.J.; Edward, married to the former Debbie Carrol, Chambersburg; Mrs. Leonard Margaret Bowser of Stoystown RD 2 and Coral of Somerset. Eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Charles Margaret Crews of Delaware, Ohio and Freeman T. married to the former Jean Shaffer of Akron, Ohio. A retired coal miner, an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints. He served in the Bishopric of the Johnstown ward then became first president of the Somerset Branch of the church when it organized in 1979. Family received friends Tuesday evening and will receive friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where family prayer will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Somerset Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Route 281 North of Somerset. President Ivan Ankeny conducting.
