Born March 7, 1918, in Robinson, Indiana County. Daughter of the late William Mullen and Pearl Viola (Johnson) Minerd. Also preceded in death by husband, Jacob Robert Hetzer Sr., who died Feb. 21, 1972; sisters, Nellie Bish, Ruth Shaffer, Violet Sanner and Lillian Bailey; brothers, Melvin and Paul Minerd. Survived by these children: Mrs. Thomas L. (Patricia) Critchfield, Berlin RD 4; Jacob R. "Jake" Hetzer Jr., married to the former Joyce Shaffer, Somerset; Mrs. Daniel W. (Phyllis "Kay") Laughlin, Somerset; Donald R. "Ray" Hetzer, married to the former Arleen Derencin, Perry, Ohio; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. Glenn (Bertha) Blubaugh, Lima, Ohio; Mrs. Esther Vesek, Somerset; Donald E. Minerd, Berlin. Member of Beulah United Methodist Church and Somerset Fire Department Auxiliary. 1937 graduate of Somerset High School. Faithful crossing guard for the Somerset Borough Police Department with 18 years of service, retiring in 1994. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. David S.
