Born Oct. 21, 1923, in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late Herbert and Ruth (Tressler) Hibner. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Meyersdale and a veteran of World War II, having served in the Normandy Base section. Survivors include two brothers, George Hibner of Harvey, Ill.; Walter Hibner of Clairton; and six sisters, Mrs. James (Emma) G. Jones, Lake Worth, Fla.; Mrs. Loletta Rowe, Glendale, Calif.; Mrs. Galen (Regina) Fike, Fairmont, W.Va.; Mrs. John (Rhea) Barton, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Demko, Clairton; Mrs. Hugh (Vivian) Hawkins, Uniontown; and an aunt, Mrs. Rhea B. (Gertrude) Dycus, of Dycusburg, Ky. Burial was in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, Ill., with full military honors. Meyersdale Republican, April 20, 1972 [H1032]
