  ORA MAE HICKS
  
  Ora Mae Hicks, 78, of Meyersdale, died Jan. 29, 2003 at her home.  She was
  born April 17, 1924 in Meyersdale, a daughter of the late Irwin A. and Mary
  (Deist) Ackerman.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 1991; a
  son Roger and a brother Clarence Ackerman.  She is survived by these
  children: Carol, wife of Raymond Showman of Meyersdale and Kenneth Hicks
  and his wife Barbara of Manassas, Va.; three grandchildren, Jeremy,
  Kimberly and Joshua.  She was a sister of Mabel Raymond of Meyersdale.  She
  was a member of Amity United Church of Christ and graduated from Meyersdale
  High School.  Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  at the Leckemby Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held at 11
  a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Bruce Ashlock in charge of service.  Interment
  Union Cemetery.
