  DAVID CLAIR HIGGINS
  
  Sgt. David Clair Higgins, 24, Quantico, Va., formerly of Somerset, died
  March 23, 1984, as result of helicopter crash in Seoul, South Korea.  Born
  May 27, 1959, in Somerset, son of Mrs. Violet Shaffer, Somerset, and late
  Donald C. Higgins.  Joined Marine Corps August 1977.  Went to South Korea
  in December 1983.  Graduate of Somerset High School, Class of 1977. 
  Survived by wife, former Nancy Meyer, and two daughters, Erin and Angela. 
  Also survived by two brothers, Donald Higgins, Michigan, and Douglas
  Higgins, Somerset; and step-brother, Richard Shaffer, Florida.  Funeral
  arrangements incomplete in charge of Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home.

  A Funeral Mass for Marine Sgt. David C. Higgins will be conducted Wednesday
  at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Father Ray Nolan,
  officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park, with full military
  rites.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at
  Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home.
