  HILL
  
  Alex A. Hill, 75, Friedens RD 1, died Aug. 14, 1988, at Siemon's Lakeview
  Manor Estate.  Born Feb. 15, 1913, in Somerset Townhship [sic], son of the
  late John M. and Mary (Samson) Hill.  Also preceded by son, Gene; and six
  brothers: Robert, John, Walter, Edward, Thomas and Paul.  Survived by wife,
  the former Sarah G. Bowers, to whom he was married for 52 years, May 2,
  1988.  Also surviving are two sons, Thomas A., Friedens RD 1 and David A.,
  Somerset; grandchildren, Brenda Maust, Karen Helmick and Aaron Hill; and
  two great-grandchildren, Michele and Andy Maust.  Brother of Mrs. Clifford
  (Helen) Phillippi, Somerset RD 5, and Mrs. Ida Hill Snyder, Akron, Ohio. 
  Member of Faith Lutheran Church and UMWA.  Retired employee of Somerset
  State Hospital.  Friends received 7-9 p.m. Monday (today) and 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Ziegler Funeral Home.  The service will be held
  10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church, with Pastor Charles J.
  Hartbauer officiating.  Interment, Friedens Cemetery.  The body will lie in
  state at the church from 9:30 a.m. to time of service.
