  ELLA R. HILLEGAS
    
    Mrs. Ella R. Hillegas, 89, of Meyersdale, died July 17, 1977, at
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    A native of Bedford County, Mrs. Hillegas was a daughter of the
  late James and Eliza (Kennell) Coughenour.  She was a member of
  Meyersdale Church of the Brethren. 
    Surviving are her husband, John E. Hillegas; a son, Herbert
  Hillegas, Everett; four daughters, Mrs. Mariam Knepper, Mrs. Madeline
  Shumaker and Mrs. Ella Mae Spence, all of Meyersdale, and Mrs.
  Elizabeth Schardel, Barnesville, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Mae Mowery,
  Manns Choice; two brothers, Harry, Bedford, and Merle Coughenour,
  Salisbury RD 1; 22 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and two
  great-great grandchildren.
    Funeral service was held Wednesday at Leckemby Funeral Home with
  Rev. Bobby Phillips officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
