Hillegas, 92, of Boynton, died Sept. 10, 1987, at his home. Born April 6, 1895, in Bedford County, son of the late George E. and Elizabeth M. (May) Hillegas. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Elizabeth C. Holler, and three brothers: Jesse, Clyde and Marcus. Survived by three daughters: Mrs. Tolva Gnagey, Salisbury; Mrs. Edward (Doris) Will, Berlin RD 3; and Miss Betty Hillegas, Boynton; also one son: Gale L. of Salibury [sic]; two brothers: Edward of Boynton; and Russell of Atlanta, Ga.; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Coughenour of Vincennes, Ind.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salibury [sic], and a retired highway construction foreman. Friends will be received Friday 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mark J.
