ANDREW J. HILLEGASS

  Andrew J. Hillegass, aged 72, son of Henry and Julian (Turner) Hillegass, of 
Bedford County, died at his home in Hyndman on Monday, September 7th, of a 
complication of diseases.  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Catherine (Zeigler) 
Hillegass and the following children:  Mrs. William Burkett, of Hyndman; Mrs. 
Russell Shoop, of Lansing, Mich.; Mrs. Harvey Meyers, of Glencoe; Mrs. Fred 
Shoemaker, of Buffalo Mills; Mrs. Lloyd Sternberg, of Akron, O.; Mrs. Otto 
Dossett of Akron, O.; Mrs. Albert Munzert, of Altoona, and Joseph Hillegass, of 
Akron, O.  In addition 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a brother, 
George Hillegass, of Boynton, survive.
  Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock, Thursday afternoon in the Hyndman 
Reformed Church, of which Mr. Hillegass was a lifelong member, by the Rev. 
DeChaunt, the pastor.  Rev. A. S. Kresge, of Meyersdale, former pastor of the 
deceased, assisted.
