  HILLEGASS
  
  Ray O. Hillegass, 82, of Berlin RD 3, died April 7, 1986, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  He was born Sept. 15, 1903, in Bedford County, son of
  Daniel and Myrtle (Adams) Hillegass.  Preceded in death by his parents;
  infant son, Robert; daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Ruth M.) Hillegass, who died in
  1985; and a brother, Merle.  Survived by his wife, the former Alice Egolf;
  daughter, Mrs. Dickey (Mary) Broesecker, St. Petersburg, Fla.; son, Dean
  E., married to Marlene Hay, Berlin RD 3; a foster daughter, Mrs. Donald
  (Anna) Hostetler, Berlin RD 3; seven grandchildren; four
  great-grandchildren.  He was a brother of: Glendon, Berlin RD 1; Clarence,
  Fairhope RD 1.  A retired farmer, he served as a fire warden for 35
  years.  Member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin.  He formerly
  served as a deacon and elder at the former Mountain Church of Glade
  Charge.  Death ended a marriage union of 61 years.  Friends will be
  received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, where
  services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Carl W. Schwarm. 
  Interment, Schellsburg Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his
  memory to American Cancer Society or American Heart Assn. would be
  appreciated.
