  RAY HILLEGASS
  
    Ray Hillegass, 82, of Berlin RD 3, died April 7, 1986 at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  He was born Sept. 15, 1902 in Bedford County, a son of
  Daniel and Myrtle (Adams) Hillegass.
    He was preceded in death by parents, infant son Robert, daughter Ruth M.
  who died in 1985 and a brother Merle.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Alice Egolf; a daughter Mrs.
  Dickey (Mary) Broesecker, St. Petersburg, Florida; and son Dean E., married
  to Marlene Hay, Berlin RD 3.  Also: foster daughter Mrs. Donald (Anna)
  Hostetler, Berlin RD 3; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 
  He was a brother of Glenden, Berlin RD 1 and Clarence, Fairhope RD 1.
    He was a retired farmer and served as fire warden for 35 years; was very
  active in Republican politics.  He was a member of Trinity United Church of
  Christ, Berlin, and formerly served as a Deacon and Elder at the former
  Mountain Church of Glade Charge.  Death ends a marriage union of 61 years.
    Friends were received at Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home where services were
  held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Carl W. Schwarm officiating. 
  Interment, Schellsburg Cemetery.
