   Robert L. Hillegass, 69, Coleman Station Road, Friedens, died Aug. 9, 2007, at UPMC
  Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Born March
  9, 1938, in Stonycreek Township, a son of Ernest and Blanche (Sipe) Hillegass. Preceded
  in death by parents, and a daughter, Annette. Survived by his wife, the former Shirley
  Pebley, with whom he would have celebrated their 50th anniversary on Oct. 6, 2007; these
  children, Tracey, married to Neal Rexroth, Berlin; Natalie, married to Douglas W. Custer,
  Friedens; and Matthew, Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Melanie and Lyndsey Rexroth, Whitney
  and Evan Custer; brother of Shelby, married to Ned Houst, Woodstock, N.Y.; and Gene,
  married to the former Elaine Burk, Friedens. He will be greatly missed by his dog,
  Claire. He was a 1956 graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School and a retired
  Stonycreek Township dairy farmer. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and Glades
  Antique Tractor Club. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at
  the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m.
  Monday. The Rev. Jay Shaffer officiating. Interment Mizpah Cemetery. Memorial

  Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
