  HILLIARD
  
  James Vernon "Happy" Hilliard, 75, Confluence, died Sept. 19, 1987, at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Feb. 2, 1912, in Humbert, son of George
  Edward and Ida (Bradshaw) Hilliard.  Survived by wife, Ada May (Tressler)
  Hilliard; three brothers: Henry of Erie; Arthur of Ambrose, Ohio; and Paul
  of Ursina; also survived by nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by two
  sisters and two brothers.  Veteran of World War II.  Friends will be
  received at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and
  10 a.m. until time of service at 1:30 pm. Tuesday, with the Rev. Richard
  McClintock officiating.  Interment, Baptist Cemetery.
