  HOWARD C. HIMES
  
    Howard C. Himes, 90, Somerset RD 5, formerly of Meyersdale, died Jan. 1,
  1974, in Somerset Community Hospital.  Born April 2, 1883, in
  Brothersvalley Township, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Conrad
  Baker, and mother; Eliza Brant; also by his wife, the former Cora Sarver;
  two sisters and a brother.
    Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Witt, Somerset RD 5; a son Harold
  S. Himes, of Sewickley; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
    He was a member of United Church of Christ, Somerset.
    Funeral service was conducted Friday morning in Richard E. Hauger Funeral
  Home, Somerset with Rev. Richard Shellenberger officiating.  Interment in
  the Hays Reformed Cemetery.
