Born Feb. 21, 1952, in Boswell, son of Quentin A. and Dorothy (Smiley) Hine, Somerset. Survived by his parents; one sister, Katherine* (Kathie)** Trent, Greensburg; a nephew, Allen Trent and his wife, the former Kathy McCord, of Jeannette; two nieces, Carol and Kimberly Trent, Greensburg; four great nephews, Joshua, Allen Jeffrey (A.J.) and Zachariah Trent and David DeSimone; one great niece, Melissa DeSimone; and his finance Irene (Toby) Koontz of Confluence. Member of Calvary United Methodist Church Somerset. Attended Electronics Institute, Pittsburgh. Owner of Hine's Electronics. Former board member of Bedford Branch, Pennsylvania Association of the Blind; board member of Somerset Blind Center, and Easter Seal Society. Formerly active in Somerset County REACT. Operated the sound system for Calvary United Methodist Church for many years. Friends received from 7-9 p.m., Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday at Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Funeral services 11 a.m., Monday at Calvary United Methodist Church. Rev. Ray Lyon officiating. No viewing at the church. Interment in Jersey Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Somerset Blind Center.
