Hinzy Jr., 74, of 6382 Ohio 5 died Sept. 29, 2000 at his residence. He was born Feb. 14, 1926 in the Markleton area. He was raised and went to school in the Casselman area. A son of Ambrose M. Sr. and Edna A. Shearer Hinzy. He is a lifelong resident of the area and worked as a millwright at the former American Welding and Manufacturing Co. in Ohio for 35 years before retiring in 1987. Mr. Hinzy was a member of the Moose Lodge 1012 in Cortland and enjoyed fishing. Preceded in death by two sons George M., and Robert L., five brothers, two sisters, and three grandchildren. Besides his wife, Kathryn M. Winter Hinzy, whom he married Aug. 5, 1951, survivors include seven daughters, Alice J. Kirk of Fairmont, W.Va.; Juanita L. Scholten of Southington; Kathryn L. Lattimer and Mary L. Richards, both of Warren; Linda C. Nicholson of Atlantic Beach, Fla.; Betty L. Hinzy of Tampa, Fla. and Bernice L. Reynolds of North Bloomfield. Four sons, Homer L. of Star City, W.Va., Terry J. of Howland, and Bert M. and John M. both of Johnstown; three sisters, Leora May of Markleton, Nellie Pershun of Hooversville, and Betty Beal of Schellsburg.
