Hittie, 76, of 309 South St., Berlin, died May 28, 1981, at Somerset Community Hospital. He was born Oct. 27, 1904, in Northampton Township, a son of the late Harmon and Emma (Weisel) Hittie. Also preceded in death by wife, the former Kathryn Saylor; son, Richard; granddaughter, Paula Griffin; two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Thomas (Virginia) Griffin, Dearborn, Mich.; Mrs. Thomas (Evelyn) Donahue, Harper Woods, Mich.; and Mrs. James (Rachel) Foor, Berlin RD 4; daughter-in-law Mrs. Richard (Nancy Gardner) Hittie, Berlin; 11 grandchildren. He was a brother of: Mrs. Robert (Eva) Baker, Berlin; Henry and George, both of Berlin RD 4; and Mrs. Denzel (Mary) Garner, Indianapolis, Ind. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services were held with the Rev. Donald K. Jordan officiating. Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
