Hittie, 72, of 304 South St., Berlin, died Feb. 13, 1981, at Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born April 14, 1908, in Elk Lick Township, daughter of the late John and Minerva (Spangler) Wisler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William, R. Sr., two brothers and one sister. She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Bittner, Berlin; and a son, William R. Jr. of Struthers, Ohio; three grandchildren: Patricia L. Bittner, Berlin; Deanne and Billy Hittie of Struthers, Ohio. She was a sister of: Mrs. Mary Zimmerman, Salisbury; Mrs. Velma Zimmerman, Meyersdale RD 4; Ray Wisler, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Harry (Hilda) Smearman, Meyersdale RD 4; Mrs. Everett (Helen) Marker, Berlin; and George Wisler, Berlin RD 1. She was a member of the First Brethren Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department. Friends were received at the Johnson Kuhlman Funeral Home; Berlin, where services were held with the Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating. Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
