Hittie, 92, Johnstown, formerly of Berlin, died Jan. 7, 1998, at Allegheny Lutheran Home, Johnstown. Born April 2, 1905 in Berlin, daughter of Francis and Mary (Coleman) Maust. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Henry W.; son, Robert; brothers, Eugene and Ward Maust; and sister, Pauline Blubaugh. Survived by these children: Anna Marie Ghrist and Mrs. Roy (Mary Ellen) Hemminger, both of Somerset; Jay H., married to former Betty Brown, New Wilmington; Dwayne, married to the former Marian Barth, Berlin; and Mrs. Cecil (Janet) Barron, Houston [sic], Pa.; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Donald, Robert and Dwight Maust, Ella Hittie and Evelyn Ringler, all of Berlin, and Ruth Menear, Shanksville. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin. Former President of the Pa. Retarded Children's Association and former member of Berlin Rebekah Lodge. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Melvin A.
