  Irvin E. Hoar, 73, 204 Center St., Boswell, died unexpectedly Dec. 29,
  1983, at home.  Born Aug. 7, 1910, in Meyersdale, son of Asa A. and Annie
  C. (Lee) Hoar.  Preceded in death by parents, brother Carl, sister Mabel. 
  Survived by widow, former Rosella B. Pyle, and these children: Shirley F.,
  wife of Frank Pacifico, Pittstown, N.J.; Mary Elaine, wife of Edward
  Zuravnsky, Irvin Jay, married to former Erma Jean Randall, Bernard J.,
  married to former Judith Cover, all of Boswell; 10 grandchildren; three
  great-grandchildren.  Member of Cambria Lodge No. 278 F&AM, Jaffa Mosque,
  Altoona, Harrisburg Consistory and Boswell Volunteer Fire Dept.  Attended
  Boswell Church of God.  Celebrated 49th wedding anniversary Dec. 4, 1983. 
  Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Friday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at
  Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, where service will be held at
  1 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Samuel E. Charlton and the Rev. Chauncey J.
  Ickes.  Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.  Masonic service at 7:30
  p.m. Friday at funeral home.
