Cerebral apoplexy was the cause of death. She was born March 4, 1894, the daughter of Daniel P. and Annie (Kennman) Brown, Meyersdale. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Helen Schumann of Baltimore, Md., and a son Harold Hoar, Meyersdale. Also surviving are two brothers, Frank P. Brown of Meyersdale and Henry Brown of Somerset, and two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Stein of Meyersdale and Mrs. Margaret Smith of Pittsburgh. She was a faithful member of Amity Evangelical and Reformed Church, where her body lay instate Monday afternoon from 12:30 to 2:30 when services were conducted by the pastor, the Rev. E. C. Nagle. Pall bearers were Charles Gauntz, Walter Gress, Harvey Arnold, Howard Johnson, Carl Johnson and Quinter Gnagey. Interment was made in the Reformed Church cemetery under the direction of Stanley Thomas of Salisbury. Meyersdale Republican, December 8, 1949
