  HOBBS
  
    Mary Hobbs, 81, of Rising Sun, Md., died Feb. 24, 1996, at home.  Born
  Nov. 30, 1914, at Hollsopple.  Daughter of Edward and Ellen (Jarvis)
  Riley.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Herbert Hobbs Jr.; sister,
  Grace Fleegle; brother, William Riley, and son, Richard.  Survived by
  children: Robert Edward, Richmond, Va.; John Herbert, Arizona; Gloria Jean,
  married to James Holsopple, with whom Mary lived for the last three years. 
  Sister of Evan, Windber, and Thomas, Catherine Johns, and John, all of
  Hollsopple.  Retired from Presbyterian Home, Johnstown, with 25 years
  service as Certified Nursing Assistant.  Attended the United Church of
  Christ.  Devoted mother of four children.  Family receiving friends from
  2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville,
  where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. Neil Siefert.
  Interment, Custer Cemetery.
