Hoblitzell Dies in Carolina Engaged in Tanning Extract Business Since Leaving Meyersdale George Black Hoblitzell, known in Meyersdale as "Huck", a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William T. Hoblitzell, died last Friday night in his home in Andrews, North Carolina. His death was attributed to a heart attack following a major operation in the Ashville, N.C. hospital. Mr. Hoblitzell left Meyersdale a number of years ago to engage in the tanning extract business in Andrews, N.C., where he has resided until his untimely death at the age of 56. In 1916, he was united in marriage with Miss Clara L. Eugank of Andrews, who survives with one son, William T. Hoblitzell II. A daughter, Fanny Sue, preceded her father in death. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. William T. Tess of Nashville, Tennessee. A brother, James T. Hoblitzell, died several years ago in Meyersdale. Funeral services were conducted at the late residence in Andrews, Sunday afternoon, with interment in the Andrews cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, January 23, 1941
