  JAMES R. HOBLITZELL
  
    James R. Hoblitzell, 72, of State College, formerly of Meyersdale, died
  Aug. 16, 1975, in Grandview Hospital in Sellersville.
    Born in Meyersdale, Jan. 3, 1903, he was a son of James and Margaret
  (Canfield) Hoblitzell.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the former
  Phoebe Emick.
    Mr. Hoblitzell was a retired leather tanner and was a veteran of the U.S.
  Armed Forces.
    Surviving are a son, James R. Hoblitzell, Jr., Falls Church, Va.; a
  daughter, Mrs. Nancy Strickland, Landsdale, Pa.; three grandchildren; a
  brother, Duff Hoblitzell, of Tionesta; and a sister, Mrs. M. V. Coulson of
  Baltimore, Md.
    Memorial service was held Tuesday afternoon in Price Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale, with Rev. Paul Snyder officiating.  Interment in Union
  Cemetery, Meyersdale.
