All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ _________________________________________ Hoblitzell, Marguerite "Mrs. Marguerite Hoblitzell" wife of Mr. James Russell Hoblitzell died at her home on Beachley Street on Friday afternoon at four o'clock from pneumonia, following an illness of two weeks with this malady. Mrs. Hoblitzell had been an invalid for the past seven years of that period she was unable to walk for five years, having been a great sufferer. It was twenty years ago that Mrs. Hoblitzell came from her native city, Baltimore where she was educated, as a bride to Meyersdale. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. Ira C. Canfield. The only close immediate family is one sister Mrs. Bessie C. Hudson, of Baltimore, who was present at the funeral. Besides the husband there are living four children: Henry Duff; Julia K.; James Russell Jr.; and Elizabeth Canfield. Mrs. Hoblitzell bore her affliction with Christian fortitude and her culture and refinement were a blessing to the community. She was a member of the Methodist church and her pastor, Rev. J. C. Matteson conducted the funeral services which were held at four o'clock on Monday afternoon. Interment being made in the Union Cemetery, W. C. Price undertaker. Meyersdale Commercial, Sept. 28, 1916
