He was born Nov. 6, 1933 in Boynton, son of the late Albert and Ida (Bowers) Hochard. Also preceded in death by two sisters, Violet Hutzel and Margaret Hutzel and two brothers, Francis and Samuel. He is survived by his wife, the former Regina (Jean) McKenzie; one son, David, of Roxbury and three daughters: Wendy, of Cottondale, Ala.; Kimberly and Tina, both at home. Also two brothers: Alvin, Meyersdale RD 1; and Willard, of Friedens. Also survived by four sisters: Mrs. Barbara Albright, Meyersdale RD 3; Mrs. Betty Lindeman, Miss Rita Hochard, both of Boynton and Mrs. Sarah Hay, of Meyersdale; and one grandson, Eric. He was a retired equipment operator for PennDOT; member of the Amity United Church of Christ in Meyersdale; a member of the Elks Club of Oakland, Md.; and a member of the Meyersdale American Legion Home Association. Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home Salisbury with Rev. Carl P. Mitchell officiating. Interment was held later at the convenience of the family.
