Hochard, 56, Boynton, died unexpectedly July 23, 1985, at home. Born Dec. 4, 1928, in Boynton, he was a son of the late Albert and Ida (Bowers) Hochard. He is preceded in death by his sister, Violet, and a brother, Francis. Survived by his wife, the former Janet Murray; three daughters: Mrs. Phyllis Sheppard, Newark, Del.; Mrs. Nancy Walker, Kenosha, Wis.; and Miss Brenda Hochard, Grantsville, Md.; two sons: Pfc. Samuel Jr., Camp LeJeune, N.C., and Randy, at home; three brothers: Alvin and Carl, both of Meyersdale, and Willard, Somerset; five sisters: Miss Rita Hochard and Mrs. Betty Lindeman, both of Boynton; Mrs. Sarah Hay and Mrs. Barbara Albright, both of Meyersdale; and Mrs. Margaret Hutzell, Salisbury; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Timothy and Abigal. He was a carpenter and an employee of the Salisbury-Elk Lick School District. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. Interment, Salisbury Cemetery.
