Irwin Hodgson, 78, of Kirtland, Ohio died June 25, 1979 at The Lake County Memorial Hospital, Willoughby, Ohio following a short illness. Mr. Hodgson was born in Monongahela, Pa. and lived in the Meyersdale area until 1941 when he moved to Ohio. He was a machine operator at Eaton, Yale, and Town Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio for 27 years until his retirement in 1966. He was preceded in death by his father Willis H. Hodgson of Monongahela, his mother, Mrs. Mary B. France and stepfather Mr. Benjamin France of Meyersdale and sister, Mrs. Lucinda Hooker from Euclid, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Helen Rebecca, whom he married in 1930, a son, Ray A. Hodgson of Painesville, Ohio, a daughter Mrs. Kenneth Weinman (Hazel) of Mentor, Ohio, two sisters Mrs. Hazel Hooper and Mrs. Edna Bolen of Cleveland, Ohio and five grandchildren. Services were held June 27th at the Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland, Ohio with the Rev. Ottomar Bickel, pastor of the Zion Lutheran Church, Painesville, officiating.
