Death was due to complications, having been in poor health for several years. Mrs. Hoenshel was born September 1, 1870, in Greenville Township, Somerset County, and later resided in Boynton, leaving there 31 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hoenshel celebrated their fiftith anniversary last June. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Brown of Greenville Township, and is survived by the following daughters: Mrs. Ida Walker, Austin, Pa.; Mrs. Emma Huff, Olean, N.Y.; Mrs. Effie Meals and Miss Mabel Hoenshel, Kane, Pa.; Mrs. Grace Sosmiskie and a son Charles, Johnsonburg, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Delilah Tayman, Akron, Ohio, and a brother, Simon Brown of Sand Patch. Thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. Her husband, Frank Hoenshel, passed away Oct. 19, 1942. Funeral services were held at the home Thursday, January 14, with the Rev. George H. Palmer, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Kane, officiating. Interment was made in the McKean County Memorial Park. Meyersdale Republican, January 28, 1943
