  HOFECKER
      
     William E. Hofecker, 98, Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Boswell, died
  March 19, 1987, at Methodist Hospital, Jacksonville.  Born Oct. 23, 1888, in
  Johnstown, son of Adam and Rebecca (Callahan) Hofecker.  Preceded in death by
  parents, several brothers and one sister.  Survived by sister Alverna Boyer,
  Donegal, formerly of Boswell; and nieces, Marian Eby, Jacksonville; Lilly
  Speigle, Somerset; and Betty Smith, Johnstown.  Member of St. John's
  Lutheran Church and Post No. 9 American Legion, both of Jacksonville. Army
  veteran of World War I.  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Sunday at
  Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where service will be held
  at 11 a.m. Monday with Pastors Pat and Chris Ramsey officiating.  Interment,
  Richland Cemetery.
