  HENRY J. HOFFER 
     
     Henry J. Hoffer, 77, of Acme RD 1, died Jan. 1 in Frick Community
  Hospital, Mt. Pleasant.  He was born May 17, 1895, in Acme.  He was a retired
  farmer and a member of Mt. Zion Community Church.
     Surviving are his wife, Elsie S. Hoffer; eight sons, Otha W., Robert H.,
  Orlando S. and Ronald D., all of Acme; Philson D. of Greensburg; Kenneth of
  Middlesex; Homer of Scottdale Star Route; and Wilmer of Jones Mills; five
  daughters, Mrs. Wilmer Kreinbrook and Mrs. Luther Clark of Berlin; Mrs.
  John Stouffer of Jeannette; Mrs. Harold Rooney of Palm Dale, Calif.; and
  Mrs. Clyde Snyder of Acme; 39 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon in Brooks Funeral Home,
  Indian Head, with Rev. Leroy Kessler officiating.  Interment in Kesslar
  Cemetery.
