Hoffman, 63, of Somerset RD 1, died July 2, 1982, at the Somerset Community Hospital. Born July 2, 1919, in Somerset County, son of the late Elmer E. and Jennie (Fisher) Hoffman. Preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister. Survived by his step-mother, Mrs. June Domer, Somerset RD 3, and his wife, the former Nellie Jane Coley, one son, Glenn, Somerset RD 1; five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter. Brother of: Elbert, Eugene, and Mrs. Donald (Ruby) Miller, all of Somerset RD 3; Mrs. Charles (Rosie) Ash and Kenneth, both of Somerset; Mrs. Conrad (Leora) Kelly, Somerset RD 5; Paul and Perry, Somerset RD 1; Mrs. Hazel Miller, Sipesville; and Roger of Glen Rock, Pa. Member of the Somerset Church of God, where he served on the church council. He was a retired PennDOT employee. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home until 10 a.m. Tuesday when his remains will be removed to the Somerset Church of God to lie in state until time of funeral service at 11 a.m., the Rev. D. R. Buchanan officiating.
